Said the senator: “If you establish a public option at the forefront that goes head-to-head and competes with the private health insurance market the public option will have significant price advantages.” She acts like that is a bad thing… The goal is not to protect private insurance company monopolies but to reduce health care spending and ensure every person can be covered. Sadly, so many politicians don’t seem to get that.
